1.General provisions
- 1.1.These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern the use of the Discord Tickets online service — the website discord-tickets.com, the dashboard and the Discord application (bot) (together, the “Service”) — provided by the RootCore team (the “Administration”).
- 1.2.By using the Service in any way — visiting the site, signing in with Discord, adding the bot to a server, configuring panels, opening tickets or reading transcripts — the User confirms having read the Terms in full and accepts them without reservation.
- 1.3.If the User does not agree with the Terms, the User must immediately stop using the Service, sign out of the dashboard and remove the bot from their servers.
- 1.4.By using the Service, the User confirms having the legal capacity to do so, meeting the minimum age under applicable law and the Discord Terms of Service (at least 13, higher in some countries), and not being barred from using Discord.
- 1.5.The Administration is not Discord. The Service is an independent project that is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or otherwise connected to Discord Inc. “Discord” and the Discord logo are trademarks of Discord Inc., used solely to describe compatibility. The Administration also runs discord-webhook.com; each project is governed by its own documents.
- 1.6.Service notices (changes to features, terms or availability) are published on the site, on the Administration’s official Discord server or sent through the bot. The User is responsible for being able to receive them; failure to receive a notice for reasons on the User’s side does not relieve the User of its consequences.
- 1.7.Definitions: “Server Administrator” — a Discord user with the “Manage Server” or “Administrator” permission who configures the Service for a server; “Member” — any Discord user who opens or takes part in a ticket; “Transcript” — the archived record of a ticket’s messages and metadata; “Content” — any text, files, settings or other material submitted through the Service.
2.Nature of the Service
- 2.1.The Service provides software features for running support on Discord servers: posting ticket panels, creating private channels and threads, applying close rules, keeping transcripts and statistics.
- 2.2.The Service is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. The Administration undertakes no obligation to provide any particular feature, capacity, quality, timeframe or level of availability.
- 2.3.Parts of the Service may be in preview and may display sample (demonstration) data. Such data is not an offer, a warranty or a description of committed functionality.
- 2.4.The Service runs on the Discord platform and depends on its availability, rules, limits and API. The Administration is not responsible for unavailability, delays, changes or restrictions caused by Discord Inc. or third parties.
- 2.5.The Administration may, at any time and at its sole discretion, modify, supplement, restrict, suspend or discontinue the Service or any part of it, including without prior notice and without any compensation.
- 2.6.The Service is not a data-storage, legally binding record-keeping, evidence or backup facility. The User must keep their own copies of important information; the Administration does not guarantee the preservation of Content or Transcripts.
3.Account and access
- 3.1.Access to the dashboard is through a Discord account (OAuth2). There is no separate registration; the User is solely responsible for the security of their Discord account and for everything done under it.
- 3.2.Configuring a server is available only to Users to whom Discord grants the “Manage Server” or “Administrator” permission on that server. The Administration relies on Discord’s data and does not verify authority in any other way.
- 3.3.The User must not share dashboard access with third parties or use other people’s accounts. Actions taken with the User’s account are deemed taken by the User.
- 3.4.The Administration may at any time restrict, suspend or terminate the access of a User or a server to the Service, in whole or in part, with or without notice and with or without stating reasons.
4.Responsibilities of Server Administrators
- 4.1.By adding the bot to a server or configuring the Service, the Server Administrator confirms having the authority to act on behalf of that server and its owner.
- 4.2.The Server Administrator is solely and fully responsible for the content of panels, topics, intake forms, welcome and other texts, for the choice of staff roles, and for the actions of the people they grant access to tickets.
- 4.3.The Server Administrator must inform Members in advance (for example in the panel text or server rules) that ticket conversations are recorded as Transcripts and may be opened by link when the corresponding setting is enabled.
- 4.4.The Server Administrator determines the purposes and means of processing their Members’ data and must comply with applicable data-protection law, Discord’s rules and the rights of Members. The Administration processes such data solely to operate the Service.
- 4.5.The Server Administrator must not use the Service to collect, store or distribute data they have no lawful right to, nor use Transcripts for purposes unrelated to supporting the server’s members.
- 4.6.All claims by Members concerning the configuration, use and content of tickets and Transcripts on a specific server are handled by that server’s Administrator. The Administration is not a party to those relations.
5.Acceptable use
- 5.1.The Service is not intended to encourage or carry out unlawful activity. The User undertakes to use the Service solely within applicable law, Discord’s rules and these Terms, and bears full and sole responsibility for the lawfulness of that use.
- 5.2.It is prohibited to use the Service for harassment, threats, abuse, discrimination, fraud, extortion, spam, unsolicited advertising, bulk messaging, malware, or unlawful content and material that infringes third-party rights.
- 5.3.It is prohibited to perform actions that place excessive load on the Service, disrupt its operation or infrastructure, or attempt to circumvent limits, quotas, security systems or Discord permissions.
- 5.4.Scanning, vulnerability testing, attempts to bypass protections, interference with operation, decompilation and reverse engineering of the Service’s infrastructure and software components are prohibited without the Administration’s written permission, except where expressly allowed by law.
- 5.5.It is prohibited to impersonate Discord Inc., the Administration, its representatives or any other person, to use the Service’s name, logo or brand elements without permission, or to create a false impression of affiliation with the Administration.
- 5.6.Reselling, renting, sublicensing the Service or providing it to third parties under one’s own name, as well as automated harvesting (scraping) of the dashboard and Transcripts without the Administration’s permission, are prohibited.
- 5.7.To keep the infrastructure stable and protected, the Administration may limit request rates, stored data volume, the number of panels, topics, tickets and other parameters on individual servers. Such limits are not a defect of the Service.
6.Conduct and interaction with support
- 6.1.Support is provided on the Administration’s official Discord server. Communication with support and representatives of the Administration must be polite and respectful.
- 6.2.Support is intended solely for questions about the operation of the Service. The Administration is not obliged to respond, may leave off-topic requests unanswered, and, in case of repeated off-topic requests, flooding, spam or repeated requests about an already resolved matter, may restrict or fully block the User’s access to support.
- 6.3.The Administration may, at its sole discretion, treat the User’s actions or communication as inappropriate, abusive, threatening, provocative, destructive or disruptive. This includes, in particular: disrespectful communication; intrusive promotion of, or unfair comparisons with, other services; pressure, ultimatums and blackmail (including threats of negative reviews) to obtain advantages.
- 6.4.In the cases described in clauses 6.2–6.3 the Administration may restrict or terminate service to the User, including blocking access to support, the dashboard and the bot on all related servers, without any compensation.
- 6.5.Support response times are not guaranteed. Support advice is informational and does not constitute a legally binding statement by the Administration.
7.Content and Transcripts
- 7.1.Messages, form answers, files and other Content remain the property of those who created them. The User grants the Administration a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, copy, process and display Content to the extent needed to operate the Service, including generating Transcripts and statistics.
- 7.2.The User warrants holding all rights to the Content they submit and that the Content does not violate the law or third-party rights. The User is fully responsible for their Content.
- 7.3.Transcripts are private by default. Whoever enables a public link is solely responsible for the consequences of its distribution. The Administration does not control who receives the link and is not liable for third-party access to a Transcript.
- 7.4.The Administration does not pre-moderate Content, but may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, delete, hide or block any Content and Transcripts, including those violating the Terms, the law or Discord’s rules.
- 7.5.The Administration may preserve Content and disclose it to competent authorities where required by law, and to protect its rights and the rights of third parties.
- 7.6.The Administration does not guarantee the preservation, integrity or availability of Content and Transcripts and is not obliged to provide copies after deletion, termination of access or discontinuation of the Service.
8.Partners, official channels and third parties
- 8.1.The only official channels of the Service are the website discord-tickets.com, the Discord application “Discord Tickets” with the application ID shown on the site, and the Administration’s official Discord server. Any other sites, bots or accounts using the Service’s name are not connected to the Administration.
- 8.2.The Service relies on the Discord platform and hosting providers’ infrastructure. The Administration is not responsible for the actions, failures, rule changes or decisions of these third parties, including account and server suspensions by Discord Inc.
- 8.3.The site may contain links to third-party resources. The Administration does not control such resources and is not responsible for their content, availability or data handling.
- 8.4.discord-webhook.com is a separate product of the Administration governed by its own terms and policy. Data of the two projects is not combined.
9.Intellectual property
- 9.1.The Service, including its software, design, interfaces, texts, graphics, trademarks and other elements, belongs to the Administration or is used by it lawfully and is protected by applicable law.
- 9.2.The Terms grant the User no rights to the Administration’s intellectual property other than a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the Service for its intended purpose.
- 9.3.Copying, reproducing, modifying, distributing, publicly displaying or creating derivative works from elements of the Service without the Administration’s written permission is prohibited.
- 9.4.By sending the Administration suggestions, ideas or feedback, the User grants the Administration, free of charge, the right to use them in any way without restriction or compensation.
- 9.5.Discord’s trademarks belong to Discord Inc. and are used in the Service solely to describe compatibility.
10.Disclaimer of warranties
- 10.1.The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, security, uninterrupted operation and absence of errors.
- 10.2.The Administration does not warrant that the Service will meet the User’s expectations or requirements, operate without interruptions, delays or failures, that errors will be corrected, or that the Service or its servers are free of harmful components.
- 10.3.The Administration does not warrant the preservation, availability or recoverability of Content, Transcripts, settings and statistics, nor any result of using the Service, including the speed or quality of support on the User’s server.
- 10.4.All information provided by the Service and by support is informational. The User makes decisions based on it independently and bears the risk of their consequences.
- 10.5.The User uses the Service at their own risk and is solely responsible for any damage to their equipment, data, servers or reputation arising from the use of the Service.
11.Limitation of liability
- 11.1.To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Administration, its members, employees, contractors and partners are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special or consequential damages, including lost profits, loss of data or goodwill, business interruption or the cost of substitute services, arising from the use of or inability to use the Service, even if the Administration was advised of the possibility of such damages.
- 11.2.The Administration is not liable for: the actions and Content of Users, Server Administrators and Members; the content of tickets and Transcripts; the actions, decisions and failures of Discord Inc., hosting providers and other third parties; unauthorised access to the User’s account; unavailability of the Service for any reason; deletion or loss of Content.
- 11.3.The Administration is not liable for non-performance or improper performance caused by force majeure, including but not limited to failures of communication networks and power supply, acts of public authorities, DDoS attacks and other unlawful acts of third parties, changes in legislation, epidemics and natural disasters.
- 11.4.In any event, the Administration’s aggregate liability for all claims connected with the Service is limited to the amount actually paid by the User to the Administration for the Service during the twelve months preceding the claim. As the Service is free, that amount is zero.
- 11.5.Any claim against the Administration connected with the Service must be brought within twelve months of the event giving rise to it; after that period the claim is extinguished.
- 11.6.The limitations in this section do not apply only to the extent that such liability cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory provisions of applicable law.
12.Indemnification
- 12.1.The User agrees to defend, hold harmless and indemnify the Administration, its members, employees and partners against any losses, costs (including reasonable legal fees) and third-party claims arising from: the User’s breach of the Terms, the law or third-party rights; the User’s Content; the use of the Service on the User’s servers; claims by Members of servers the User administers.
- 12.2.The Administration may assume the defence of any claim covered by this section; the User agrees to cooperate and not to settle any matter affecting the Administration without its written consent.
13.Restriction and termination of access
- 13.1.The Administration may, at its sole discretion, without prior notice, without stating reasons and without any compensation, restrict, suspend or terminate the access of a User, a server or a group of servers to the Service or any part of it — including for breach of the Terms, at the request of the law, on suspicion of abuse, or to protect the Service and other users.
- 13.2.The User may stop using the Service at any time: sign out of the dashboard, revoke the authorisation in Discord’s settings and remove the bot from their servers.
- 13.3.After access ends or the bot is removed, settings, tickets and Transcripts may be deleted within the periods stated in the Privacy Policy without the possibility of recovery. The Administration is not obliged to hand over copies of data.
- 13.4.Sections 7, 9–12, 14 and 16 survive termination of the Terms.
14.Discretionary powers of the Administration
- 14.1.The Administration alone and at its sole discretion determines the Service’s features, the manner of their provision, limits, support rules, and interprets the provisions of these Terms. The Administration’s interpretation is final.
- 14.2.The Administration may refuse the Service to any person or server without stating reasons, unless prohibited by law.
- 14.3.The Administration’s decisions on violations, disputes between Users, access restrictions and removal of Content are made on the basis of the information available to it and are final.
- 14.4.Any concession, exception or non-enforcement of a provision of the Terms by the Administration does not constitute a waiver of the corresponding right and sets no precedent.
15.Privacy
- 15.1.The handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of the Terms. By using the Service, the User confirms having read and accepted the Policy.
- 15.2.The Server Administrator is solely responsible for the lawfulness of processing their Members’ data and for informing Members that tickets are recorded.
16.Governing law and disputes
- 16.1.The Terms are governed by the law of the country where the Administration is established, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules of the User’s country of residence provide otherwise.
- 16.2.All disputes shall be resolved by negotiation. Mandatory pre-trial procedure: a complaint is submitted on the Administration’s official Discord server stating the server, the circumstances and the demands; the review period is 30 days.
- 16.3.To the extent permitted by law, claims are brought individually; the User waives participation in class or collective actions against the Administration.
- 16.4.If any provision of the Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force and the invalid provision is replaced by a valid one closest in meaning.
- 16.5.The Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between the User and the Administration regarding the Service and supersede all prior arrangements.
17.Changes to the Terms
- 17.1.The Administration may unilaterally change the Terms at any time. A new version takes effect upon publication on the site unless a later date is stated; the date of the current version is shown at the top of the document.
- 17.2.The User is responsible for reviewing the Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes unconditional acceptance of the new version.
- 17.3.If the User does not agree with the changes, the User must stop using the Service as described in clause 13.2.
18.Contact information
- 18.1.The official contact channel of the Administration is the Discord Tickets Discord server. Please include the server ID and, for ticket matters, the ticket number.
- 18.2.Requests received through other channels may be left unanswered.
